In CakeOver, preparation is part of the risk.

Each contestant arrives with a brand-new £100 outfit and walks the catwalk before facing a trivia battle where only one appearance survives untouched.

One contestant is placed in the spotlight. Answer correctly and the spotlight switches to your opponent. Answer wrong and you stay there. Whoever is in the spotlight when the buzzer sounds loses - and faces a full CakeOver.

The winner walks away clean with a luxury beauty voucher. The loser walks away wearing custard pies and two messy beauty treatments chosen by our SubscribeStar audience.

Then one final catwalk. Considerably messier than the first.

1. Prepare your outfit. Each contestant begins with a £100 budget to purchase a brand-new outfit for the game. Protective overalls, waterproofs and hats are banned.
2. The catwalk. Before the game begins both contestants walk the catwalk to show off their new outfits. Enjoy it - only one outfit survives the next few minutes.
3. The spotlight. The winner of the previous round begins in the spotlight. They answer questions one at a time.
4. Wrong answers stay in the spotlight. Get a question wrong and you remain in the spotlight for the next question.
5. Correct answers switch the spotlight. Get a question right and the spotlight switches to your opponent.
6. The buzzer decides. Whoever is in the spotlight when the buzzer sounds loses the challenge and faces the full CakeOver treatment.
7. Stay clean. The winner keeps their outfit spotless and receives a luxury beauty or spa voucher.
8. Face the CakeOver. The losing contestant receives the full treatment — a custard pie barrage delivered by the winner, followed by two messy beauty treatments selected in advance by our SubscribeStar audience from the Saucy Shower, Mud Treatment and Six-Layer Drip.
9. The messy catwalk. Once the treatment is complete the losing contestant takes one final walk down the catwalk - this time wearing this season's messiest look.
