Emotional Alchemy.

Most adults don’t get many chances to do something completely silly on purpose. Messy games give you permission to laugh, compete, and enjoy the chaos for a day — within limits you choose in advance.

The Gunger Games is built around a simple idea: that experiences which might normally feel uncomfortable - like fear, disgust, humiliation or envy - can become surprisingly fun when they're within limits, chosen freely, and shared with someone you want to beat.

You choose the emotional trial styles you want to explore, the games that appeal to you, and the limits that shape your day. Everything is agreed before filming begins - no hidden rules, no unwanted surprises.

Bring a friend, partner or rival and take part in a structured six-game messy challenge experience built around real choices, real consequences, and real prize money.

Competitive endings pay £490–650 for the runner-up and £630–850 for the winner. Cooperative endings pay £455–750 each. Exact amounts depend on game selection and performance.

Messy Games Guaranteed Prize Money No Experience Required

Why take part?

The Gunger Games is a structured six-game messy adventure where contestants choose the challenges they want to face and compete for guaranteed prize money.

Messy games create a rare kind of freedom - a chance to stop worrying about looking perfect and simply enjoy the moment instead. The format is designed to feel collaborative rather than performative, and the games themselves tend to break the ice quickly once they begin.

Some take part for the competition, some for the prize money, and some for the experience of trying something unusual and memorable - something they've quietly thought about doing for years but never quite had the right excuse to try.

It's also a great excuse to finally wear that outfit that's been waiting in the back of the wardrobe for the right moment - a little glam for the camera, a little silliness for the games, and part of a story you'll remember afterwards.

Bring a friend, partner or rival and create a ridiculous story together. It's the kind of experience you'll still be laughing about years later.

Safety & consent

The chaos may look unpredictable, but behind the scenes everything is structured and agreed.

All participation is based on consent, negotiation, and clearly defined boundaries. Contestants choose what they are comfortable with, and not every game is suitable for every participant.

About the Gamesmaster

The Gunger Games is a new production, and early contestants are at the heart of shaping what it becomes.

I’ve spent years designing messy challenge formats that feel safe, collaborative and genuinely fun to take part in.

My goal for every filming day is simple: that you leave having had a great time, feeling good about what you did, and laughing about it for years afterwards.

Being a new production means you get more personal attention than you would from a larger operation. Game selections, limits and the shape of the day are planned carefully with each pair of contestants individually — nothing is templated or rushed.

Early contestants help shape how the show develops, and we take that responsibility seriously.

If you have questions before applying, feel free to get in touch. There's no pressure and no commitment involved in asking.

Walkthrough: What should I expect?

Once you apply, everything is planned in advance so the day itself feels clear, collaborative and free of unwanted surprises.

1

Browse The Games

Browse through our catalogue of games and pick out the ones you'd like to play. Not sure which games appeal to you? We can help you decide after you apply.

2

Apply

Go to the apply page and tell us about yourself and anyone else you wish to play with.

3

Planning in advance

Your games, limits, outfits and filming preferences are all agreed before the shoot in a planning conversation. Final game choices are confirmed at least 24 hours in advance so gunge mixes, props and equipment can be prepared properly. Some games involve a little preparation before the day — for example, Gunge Vote contestants may record short appeal videos in advance, and CakeOver contestants can tell us which outfit they'd like us to buy on their behalf.

4

Arrival at the studio

When you arrive we walk through the agreed plan together, confirm outfits and answer any last-minute questions. Nothing unexpected is added on the day.

5

Filming your games

Filming happens one game at a time with clear explanations before each challenge and breaks whenever needed. The games are designed to feel fun and immersive from the start - nerves tend to dissolve quickly once the first challenge begins.

6

After film day

Once filming is complete you can clean up, change and collect your prize money. Your episode is then edited and uploaded to our clip stores for purchase - and you'll receive a free copy of your video for private use as a keepsake.

FAQ

Quick answers to the questions most people ask first.

Can I wear clothing from the studio?

Yes - we can provide generic clothing if needed, though many contestants enjoy choosing something fun or slightly daring for the challenge itself. It’s a great excuse to finally wear those outfits that have been waiting in the back of your wardrobe for the right moment — a little glam for the camera, a little silliness for the sploshing, and a story you’ll remember afterwards. Many contestants plan to wear outfits that make the experience feel a little more special on camera.

Will it ruin my hair/clothing?

No. Most of our gunge recipes are water-soluble and washes out easily. The base ingredients are skin-safe and chosen for easy cleanup. Some food-based mess can be a little more challenging to clean, but contestants are advised what to expect in advance and most outfits survive the CakeOver without problems. If an outfit might not survive a particular game, we’ll always let you know in advance so you can decide what feels right for you to wear.

How much prize money could I earn?

Earnings depend on game selection and how the episode ends. Competitive endings pay £490–650 for the runner-up and £630–850 for the winner. Cooperative endings pay £455–750 each.

I'm a little nervous or camera shy.

The day is designed to feel collaborative rather than performative. We value authenticity and want you to have fun and genuine reactions to the games.

Is the mess really icy cold or smelly?

Where stated, yes. The consequences are real - designed to create genuine reactions rather than fake surprises.

Can contestants choose limits?

Yes. Boundaries are discussed in advance and not every game fits every person.

Can I apply by myself or does it have to be as a pair?

The experience works best when contestants already know each other and choose their games together, but solo applications are also welcome. Where possible we try to match solo applicants with someone who has similar game preferences and comfort levels.

The Trials of Humiliation mention there could be nudity, how many people might see it?

Full nudity only appears in formats where contestants have actively agreed to it in advance. Where included, it is only viewable in purchased downloads. Any free preview images are censored, so there is no full public exposure. Full nudity remains behind a paywall.

Is it sexual?

Our content is kink-friendly and promoted to a kink audience, but the core format is entertainment-led and consent-first rather than explicit. Messy gameshows have always attracted a mixed audience, and we believe it’s better to acknowledge that openly so contestants know exactly what they’re signing up for.

Can we play for a charity?

Certainly. Remember to get yourself sponsored as well as trying to win prize money.

Can I play privately?

Yes. Private Experience Days are planned where filming is optional.

Can I get a video of our experience?

Yes - participants receive a free copy of their video for private use as a record of the experience.

I can't decide between the games, I want to play them all.

We're happy with your enthusiasm. Choose 6 for now - if you enjoy the experience you can always come back and try the others another time.

Which combination of games offers the highest payout?

For players specifically looking to maximise payout, the highest-value build currently includes... The Gunge Vote, CakeOver, Time The Slime, SlimeBomb, Flushin' Roulette and The C*m Dump.

How long does a filming day take?

Most filming days run between 4 and 5 hours depending on the games chosen, how the day flows and a break for lunch.

Where are you based?

Our games are filmed in a dedicated space at our home studio, roughly 30 minutes from both Bristol and Newport.

We can't drive, how can we get to your studio?

If you can get yourself to either Bristol Parkway, Bristol Temple Meads or Newport train stations we can arrange a pick up for you.

Can we get messy revenge on the Games Master?

You can each request an additional custard pie to pie the Games Master at the end of the shoot if you'd like a little playful revenge for the challenges during the day.

Thinking about taking part?

You can apply now, or just get in touch to ask questions first. Everything is planned in advance and there’s no pressure to commit.
