Teaser

In Pie Detector, only one pie matters — the one nobody wants.

Each round a single gross pie is hidden beneath one of the serving trays. One player prepares the trap while their opponent turns away, then chooses whether to Share the prize money… or Steal the money.

Share, and they select which pie tray they each take — unless their opponent dares to call Swap to try steal the prize money.

Steal, and the opponent must choose blindly between the trays and the player with the pie wins the cash and the ability to pie their opponent.

Either way, only one player ends the round clean and the other with something gross in their face. Will it be something like mushy peas... cauliflower cheese... egg mayo... tuna & mayo or wet dog food waiting under the whipped cream?

Rules

  1. Who goes first. The player that lost the previous round chooses who goes first.
  2. Hide the pie. At the start of each round, one player secretly hides the single gross pie beneath one of the serving trays while their opponent turns away.
  3. Choose Share or Steal. The player who hid the pie must choose what to do with the £60 prize money for the round.
  4. If they choose Steal. Both trays are placed in front of the opponent, who must choose one without knowing where the pie is hidden. The other is returned to the player that hid the pies.
  5. If they choose Share. The player who hid the pie selects which tray their opponent takes and which one they keep. Their opponent may attempt to Steal by asking for the pie trays to be swapped.
  6. Pie Time. Only one tray contains the gross pie. The player with the tray holding the pie gets to shove the pie in their opponent's face. If Steal was chosen by either player then the pie holder wins the full £60.
  7. Play five rounds. Each round repeats the same question: trust your opponent... or call their bluff.
